About

Hi, I’m Dyan Fedde, and I’m all about making the complex simple. Over the years, I’ve had the chance to dive deep into the world of DevOps, tackling everything from live database migrations to building out infrastructure for full-text search on Kubernetes. If there’s a way to streamline processes, reduce friction, or make code deployment faster and more reliable, I’m on it.

What I Do

I’ve spent over a decade in the trenches, solving infrastructure problems and helping teams work smarter. My work spans industries like healthcare, big data, and software development, where I’ve led projects that demand precision and efficiency. Whether it was developing an internal Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) for developers and data scientists at RxRevu or automating the installation of Greenplum on bare metal servers at VMware, I’ve always focused on delivering solutions that work.

I’m well-versed in a variety of tools and technologies—AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and many more. more than just knowing the tech, I’m about applying it in a way that makes sense for the project and the people involved. I’m a big believer in using what works best for the team, not just what’s shiny and new.

How I Work

When I’m on a project, I like to keep things straightforward. I’m not a fan of endless meetings or unnecessary complexity. Instead, I focus on clear communication, setting up processes that make sense, and getting the job done right the first time. My goal is always to leave you with an infrastructure that not only meets your current needs but is also ready to scale as you grow.

I also enjoy mentoring new developers and sharing what I’ve learned. I’ve taught courses on free software and led internal trainings on everything from Docker to event-based architecture. For me, it’s all about fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
